Another riding that the Liberals HAD (past tense) a chance in, but now is safely with the BQ. The one and only chance the Liberals would have now (with the scandals and what not) is if the incumbant ran as an independant and the vote was split. This is not the case, so we have a safe BQ keep.

The incumbent MP Ghislain Lebel is not re-running as an independant like he said he would do. This riding will definitly be for the Bloc Quebecois and should be removed from the Too Close to call.

Ghislain Lebel just changed his mind and will not run as an independent candidate. So no split vote for the Bloc. Add that the Liberal candidate is from St-Hubert (other riding) and you get a very likely Bloc win.

Ghislain Lebel , ex-bloc quebecois MP did announce this week end that he will not be running as expected. He was suppose to run as an independant seperatist candidate. Now, its a easy win for the bloc quebecois in this riding.

This riding is one to watch. If Ghislain Lebel runs again as an independent, that could draw enough votes away that the Bloc might lose this one, which has not elected a Liberal since 1980. It was won by the Tories Richard Grisé in '84 and '88, and then after Grisé resigned, the NDP won its only seat ever in Quebec in the ensuing by-election (Phil Edmonston).
