This is a rural riding with a big community. Benoit will be able to sail back in based on his party alone, but beyond that, he is a capable MP, and would win because of that regardless. |

As much as I would love to see Leon Benoit defeated, it won't happen. This is rural Alberta, which always goes Conservative. Interestingly enough if he ran provincially he would probably lose since I believe his brother ran for the far-right Alberta Alliance and had a strong second place finish but still lost to the Progressive Conservatives since King Ralph is reasonably popular in Rural Alberta unlike Mulroney or Joe Who? |
