A projection as monotonous as the sprawl of Saint-Laurent, especially under its representative's present circumstances. Anyone wanna offer on who'll be second? Does anyone care? |

As for this riding, despite Adscam, none of the other parties improved much over the last 2 elections to even win 15%. Easy re-election for Dion and the fact he is the leader now will give him an even larger majority here. Probably 70% for him and the other parties will be around 10% or below. |

Stephane Dion has won this riding with overwhelming majorities, in the past five elections. This is the easiest win on Montreal Island. His popularity is going to spill into the other neighbouring ridings. For example the ridings of Papineau and Outremont. The leader of the opposition always wins their seat with huge majorities. This popularity is going to translate into various pickups in QUEBEC. |

Unlike Prime Ministers, who sometimes loose their seat, people elected as Leader of the Opposition tend to win them. Stephane Dion is now the Liberal Leader, and to add he is running in a strong liberal riding in Montreal, a place the tories and NDP have yet to breakthrough. He will win his seat for as long as he wants to run in it, and fortunately for him, he will be opposition leader for a long time to come. |

I don't know about ‘next prime minister,’ but Dion will assuredly remain MP for St-Laurent-Cartierville. He has never been in any danger in this riding, as a cabinet minister or opposition member. Now that he's a contender for PM, the voters sure as heck won't abandon him now. |

The riding of Canada's next prime-minister. Dion will take this in a landslide and whatever obstacles he might face winning a national election; they won't be an issue here. |
