Victoire du Bloc presque assurée, mais attention: je ne serais pas surpris que les conservateurs fassent ici un très bon score. Le candidat du PCC est l'ancien député Blackburn. Je doute qu'il puisse gagner contre le Bloc, mais ce n'est pas impossible. Plus probable qu'il finira deuxième, mais avec un très bon score. Les conservateurs font des gains très importants au Québec.

If I recall correctly, the YES side outpolled the NO side about 2-to-1 in this separatist stronghold in the 1995 referendum. Little has changed since then, just even more anger at the Liberals over AdScam. This should be one of the strongest Bloc results of all. Predicted results: BQ 74%, LIB 15%, CPC 6%, NDP 4%, others 1%.

This is a strong separtist area. I believe Lucien Bouchard's old riding was in this area and I believe this had some of the strongest showings for the YES side in the 1995 referendum, which adds to an easy Bloc Quebecois win ehre.
