If in fact there are any New Democrats left in this riding, none of them are delusional enough to think there is any possibility of winning this riding. The only interesting factor will be how the new de-facto 3rd party (DRBC) does, as Abbotsford has been a proving ground for past 3rd party vehicles like Unity & Reform BC to make decent showings. Nevertheless, you can bet that van Dongen's campaign has already got the champagne on ice.

This is part of the Fraser Valley, known as the Bible belt so they will always elect the most right wing party on the ballot. If Randy White could win 60% in the last federal election with his extreme views, expect John Von Dongen he is more moderate to win with an even bigger plurality
