| Although the riding has swung in the past, it tends to go with the trend. Unless the car insurance thing heats up to the point that it should, Fitch will win. If the province wide votes swings anti-Tory, they could lose it. Barring this, the Tories will take it by a wide margin. |

| With this seat being vacant at the dawn of the election, it could go anywhere. It was a former CoR bastion, then Liberal, then PC. Moreover, 1999 NDP candidate Brad Smith proved to score a relatively strong third place showing. Due to the lack of an incumbent MLA, this riding's results may reflect a larger province-wide voting trend. |
