| Malcolm Bruce, a rare Englishman representing a Scottish seat, saw his majority slashed from 9500 to just over 200 in 1992, and then the boundaries were radically changed giving it a redistributed Tory majority of 8500. Nevertheless he won with a notional swing of 17%. He apparently obtained a law qualification to prepare for life after losing his seat, but won anyway. This one will stay LibDem. |
