| This riding will probably remain in Tory hands. In the Tory collapse of 1997, Fylde was one of two seats in Lancashire to remain Tory; the other being Ribble Valley -preceding the 97 results, the Tories held nine Lancashire seats. A third of the electorate is composed of retirees and 80% of residents are homeowners. I'd call this a probable Tory hold. |
