The Telford constituency should remain in Labour hands, despite the fact that sitting MP Bruce Grocott is stepping down, probably to get a peerage. Telford, carved out of the old Wrekin division, contains old industry, new industry attracted by the new town and plenty of Council housing. Although parts of the constituency are gentrifying quickly, it should remain a Labour seat for at least the forseeable future. |
