I suppose that the Tories are destined to keep this quaintly-named riding.

Smack in the middle of alluvial farmland, one might expect more of the "radical" political streak that's given the opposition legs in neighbouring ridings. But South Holland swung little in '97, and actually gave newcomer John Hayes nearly half the vote--the Tories' best result in Lincolnshire. Methinks it should hold.
