| Mayor Walt Cobb should win this riding easily against David Zirnheldt. Cobb is popular and Zirnheldt has 9.5 years of bad government to answer for, anyway the NDP are abandoning the rural ridings. |

| Dave won this the last time thanks to a vote split and after 10 years in government looks tired and needs a rest. After the votes are counted this former president of the UBC Liberals will be able to devote his energy to woodlot logging and his family. A Liberal gain. |
