Another moderate Bloc riding. Monique Guay won the riding with just over 15% on the nearest Liberal. Almost 60% "Yes" vote in the referendum...

The Bloq's resident sex goddess representing ski bunny country, with just the right amount of powerful Greater-Montreal reverb from out St-Jerome way. At 46% in '97, in the upper-middle for BQ safety.

This riding is a shoe-in for the BQ. Only way they could lose this one is if their campaign implodes. Laurentides is heavily francophone. Its provincial MNA is a PQer, and in it voted heavily for the YES side in the 1995 referendum. This riding is among the BQs top ten safest ridings.
