| Looking at the numbers from '97 BQ candidate Michel Guimond cleared this riding with a healthy 16% lead over the nearest candidate (a liberal). Don't see any reason for things to be much different this time. |

| Well, it may be different if a lot of the PC vote (2% behind Liberal in '97) vanishes into whatever ozone there is. But it seems to me that most 40%+ Bloqistes (like Guimond) will be stickin' around... |

| The only problem with the race in this riding is the ridiculous tongue-twister novel that is this riding's name. Hopefully, the BQ candidate who wins here will urge elections canada to make this riding more verbal-friendly |
