Vanthof will win again but it will be closer than last with as the PC vote is likely to increase a fair amount. |

Should be one of the easiest NDP holds on June 2.The Liberal MPP for this riding prior to John Vanthof started his time as MPP as a NDP MPP> |

Safe NDP seat, John Vanthof will be back in. |

It's hard to use federal barometers here because 3 different federal seats occupy this territory--and perhaps that "non-comparability" is Vanthof's saving grace, enough for him to project an impression of invincibility. However, given its various components, historical patterns, and federal trending (and a certain tendency t/w dissident forces such as CoR, the NOP, and PPC), if the seat were to become open I can definitely see it targeted by the PCs as part of their eye t/w conquesting the North. But the seat's not open. |

John Vanthof was first elected here in 2011 , and re elected in the years since. This riding no longer exists federally but has lived on provincially for various reasons. Its likely to stay ndp . William Foy is the new pc candidate and no liberal yet. |

John Vanthof should hold this seat for the NDP by a healthy margin. (When it comes to Hardemans I'd take John over uncle Ernie any day) |
