Would have been an interesting fight if not for the recent national trend. Incumbent Jeremy Wright decided to abandon this seat for the far safer neighbouring Kenilworth & Southam constituency. Labour selected former MP Andy King, who defeated Tory James Pawsey in 1997, father of Tory candidate Mark Pawsey. But given the national and regional trend, easy win for Pawsey.
