High profile MP opposed to the expansion of Heathrow and a resurgent Tory party. This is no contest. Tory victory. |

Barnet has been a Conservative constituency for decades. Former MP Syd Chapman was the Queen's 'messenger' from the House. The one glimpse of light was when the local borough Council went to a Labour/Lib Dem coalition at the height of the Blair years, but that is long gone now. Villiers BTW is also a relatively high profile candidate. No contest.
