Trevor was our MHA and left us with alot of unsolved issues in the riding when he was in provincial politics. There are a lot of voter still angry for the way he handled these situations.Also people don't like the idea that he changed from Lib-NDP-PC-CON over the years. It seem he want to be elected for him and not the people of the riding. A easy liberal victory.

For the first election in a while conservatives actually trying in Humber St barbe Baie Verte as they have high profile former provincial mla Trevor Taylor as a candidate . think Gerry Bryne still has the advantage here but its going to be a much more interesting race than recent years. tory numbers are guarnateed to increase over weak 08 numbers when abc campaign in full force. the federal conservative party is back in Newfoundland and Labrador and this is not good news for liberal mp's who will now have to actually campaign to hold seats .

This has long been a Liberal stronghold with only a few exceptions and although I expect the Tories to cover some of their lost ground, I highly doubt they will take this. Chalk this up as an easy Liberal win.

Yet another case where the Liberal vote share has not really changed over the last few elections but they appeared to do much better percentage-wise due to CPC voters staying home. With ABC all but over, they should come back out and support to Cons but it won't be enough. Byrne always gets over 50% of the vote.

The people of Humber-St. Barbe-Baie Verte are extremely loyal to Gerry Byrne. The Liberals will take this riding in a landslide.
