Unless the illegal immigrants start taking Ford jobs or start causing a ruckus at the bars on Oulette Street, most people in Windsor won't really care. It'll be more of a ‘Hey! Look! We're on national TV!’ attitude by the locals. Besides isn't immigration a federal matter? Top it off, Sandra's way too popular (or entrenched). Either way Liberal win. |

I’d be curious to see how the recent wave of illegal immigration will affect this riding. Mexicans have been pouring into Canada via Windsor. While I don’t think it will have much of an impact – the Liberals should still win, it will be interesting to see. I’ll also be watching to see weather the NDP can up their vote total here in Windsor West. They do well federally but have had recent trouble converting that into provincial votes. |

This is as much a ?Pupatello Liberal? provincial riding as it is a ?Masse NDP? federal riding; the incumbent transcends the affiliation--though true, the echo-effect of NDP recovery explains why she was one of the few Liberals to lose share in '03. But even with lost share, she remained over 60%. Safe as they (apparently) come. |

Pupatello is one of the few bright bulbs in a very dull cabinet. She's been very electable in the past, and I'm sure McGuinty won't drag her down too much here. Any other candidate might be in trouble. |

This riding is not likely to be lost. It will stay Liberal as long as Sandra Pupatello is running here. She had about 60% of the vote last election. |
