Considering how CPC was barely over 10% in 2004 (against a fluke Liberal incumbent offering himself up for defeat, though), this really was a happy Quebec Mou collateral gain, a southwest tack-on to the Beauce--though, lying as it does at the outer rim of the main Quebec CPC zone, it shouldn't be taken *too* much for granted. Yep! If the CPC could almost get 50% in '06 they stand an excellent chance at holding this riding. So long as CPC support doesn't completely tank in Quebec this will go Tory-blue.
