| Rajotte is a possible future party leader. This is a rural(ish) riding, and right-wing support has been solid here for the past 4 decades or so. This riding will continue its tradition, and elect James Rajotte as its MP. |

| With the Leduc portion taking 25% of the riding and the fact this includes Edmonton-Whitemud, which is one of only three ridings that the PCs won in Edmonton provincially, this is a pretty safe conservative riding. With the liberal fortunes falling, that makes this a riding for a conservative landslide. |
