Whilst it would be a surprise if Labour lost Hull West and Hessle, it will be interesting to see what happens to the Lib Dem vote. The Lib Dems have made huge gains in Hull recently, and in the most recent local elections the Lib Dems were just 124 votes behind Labour in the constituency. The Conservatives have not a single local councillor in the area and we can expect their vote to drop even further back from their 1997 result. |
