Despite having a bit of a fight in this riding in '96, the Premier in waiting will win this seat. |

The NDP may attempt to stop the Knight-in-Shining-Armor Campbell but they will lose and miserably. It's almost as bad as attacking Parksville-Qualicum-N. Naniamo. The only difference is that the BC Liberal MLA's a bit older and going to be a bit tied up securing the "Victories of Victories for Democracy." However, the NDP can't win because this riding is home turf a la home turf for Gordon Campbell as an MLA, for his party, and as a citizen of the riding. Finding anybody better than him to become Premier would be impossible. I know I couldn't do it-I don't have the patience to wait for that bufoon Ujjal to call an election. I hope he calls one ASAP and buys a nice retirement home in the Kootenays, right next to Stockwell Day's riding (watching Ujjal get blasted by wake wash from Mr. Day, MP will be a fun experience.). |

I predict a stunning upset for the Marijuana Party candidate, Alex Curylo. Consider: (1) This riding contains many UBC students who are deeply concerned about the marijuana issue. (2) Alex Curylo is a highly charismatic candidate. He is not afraid to take tough stands on controversial issues and would make an excellent MLA. (3) Gordon Campbell hasn't bothered to show up to any of the all-candidates meetings, where Curylo has been the clear star. (4) What better way for Point Grey voters to send a resounding message across the country than to elect the Marijuana Party candidate over Gordon Campbell? |

Campbell losing his seat...certainly, a new definition for being on dope. |

Much as I would love to see Am Johal win this seat, it is unlikley that he will. Despite a general feeling that the NDP need to be 'paid back' for so-called sins, they have done an pretty good job overall. I am very concerned about a Liberal(SOCRED) sweep in this election. Unbridled power often leads to arogance. |
