The Bloc is running their party president, Pierre Paquette, here. It was Gilles Duceppe's first campaign stop after his own nomination, so they're clearly targetting this one. Paquette may end up as one of the Bloc's few new Members of Parliament. |

It was star young PC Anie Perrault who made her bid in '97. And of course, it's where Roch Lasalle used to hold fort. So in that usual dumb "on paper" way, it's "gotta" be a Tory target. But now? Hah! Only Perrault's star power prevented this from the 50% Bloq insta-freeze rubicon in '97... |
