| Mills obviously has big money behind him. Loads of signs. Expensive office. Superficially likable. Alliance simple policies could lead to wrong results. E.G. Reduce tax on gasoline enriches oil companies and does nothing for gasoline shortages or prices. Tory/Alliance in Alberta are showing the arrogance of being the sole party and can afford to be out of touch. Liberal hopeful is politically not well known but is a very respected member of the Justice system. He is more able to approach Justice Education and Health care in a well thought out and fair way. A candidate for "wise and good government" Federal liberals will get a shakeup once the election is over, and it is needed. This has to be Chretiens last stand. Federal committes are multi party, and there are a lot of good people there, so I have faith we shall see a reforming liberal party, and a suitable cold shower for the extreme right Alliance. |
